Reserve a vacation package 24/7 on the form: there is nothing on offer here today

This page carries reductions when a supplier makes one. Right now there are none, so it is empty, and saying so is the point of it. Below is what would appear here if a real reduction existed, what would never appear, and the three properties of the calendar that make one week cost less than the same week in the busy season.

Nothing is on offer today, and the page is not going to pretend otherwise

You can reserve a vacation package 24/7 by filling in the request form, which is the one thing on this site that never closes. What you cannot do today is take anything off a price, because there is nothing on offer. No sale. No seasonal promotion, no allocation held back for people who read quickly. When the office has nothing to put on this page, the page says so, and that is the version of it you are reading.

Suppliers do lower prices from time to time. A small operator looks at an empty week in April and decides that a lower figure is better than an unrun week. When that happens, and when we can check it, a notice goes up here with its dates attached. When it has not happened, we leave the space empty rather than writing something to fill it.

So the rest of this page does the two useful things left to it. It says what a reduction would have to be before it appeared here. Then it sets out three ways a week costs less than the same week in the crowded part of the year, all three of which belong to the calendar rather than to us.

What would have to be true before a price went up here

A notice on this page would carry four facts, and it would not go up short of any of them.

Who lowered the price, described by type and level rather than by name, since no company other than this one is named anywhere on this site: a family run guesthouse of twelve rooms at the second of four price steps, a small vessel operator carrying under a hundred passengers, a mountain lodge that keeps half its beds in dormitories.

The size of the reduction in dollars per person, set against what the same week would otherwise start at. The departure dates it applies to, because a lower figure in the second week of May is worth nothing to somebody who can only leave in July. And the date the supplier stops it. If it is withdrawn earlier than that, the notice comes down the same day.

Some things would never appear here whatever the calendar was doing. No expiry we invented ourselves. No figure crossed out so that a second figure looks like a rescue. No tally of rooms said to remain. No note about what a stranger supposedly reserved a minute ago. All of those work by making a reader uneasy, and a week away is a poor thing to buy while uneasy.

Three ways a week costs less, and none of them is a favor from this office

None of the three is a concession from us. They are properties of a calendar and of a supplier's own arithmetic, and they work whether you reserve through this office or not.

Travel outside the local busy season. Local is the word carrying the weight here: the busy weeks are whatever the place itself is doing, a horse race, a festival week, a harvest, the fortnight the whole country takes off, and those land in different months from one week in this catalog to the next. Two of the eight shortlists are built on that difference alone, one for a fixed date inside the busy weeks and one for a fixed date in the quiet ones. Same rooms, same eight nights, same local operator, moved five or six weeks off the peak, and the starting figure moves with it. How far it moves is the supplier's arithmetic rather than ours, so no size of gap is printed here in advance: you get the figure for your own dates, in writing, before anything is reserved.

Learn fewer beds over more nights. Moving costs twice, once to get yourself and your luggage there, and once because a single night is priced as a single night. Eight nights across six places is not the same bill as eight nights across two, and the difference is already sitting in the starting figure before anybody has asked anybody for anything. It also returns four mornings you would otherwise spend packing.

Ask while the supplier still holds its own rooms. Small properties keep their inventory on their own reserves for as long as they can, then let the remainder go to wider distribution as the date closes in. Ask in February about a week in August and you are usually choosing from the whole house at the house's own figures. Ask in the middle of July and you are choosing from what was left. For the thirteen countries in this catalog, four to six months ahead is about where the answers stop improving.

What is worth doing on a week when this page is empty

Thirty two weeks are open to reserve today across thirteen countries, from $1,890 to $3,760 per person as a starting figure, with the final figure confirmed when the reservation is made. If you would rather not read a list, the front of the site asks three questions and hands you four weeks instead of thirty two. If you would rather read the list, all of it sits at /every-week/ in one place.

Every week also carries a number from one to four saying how much of it you could have arranged without us. The weeks marked one are the weeks we are not needed for, and they say so on their own pages.

Three things this office does not do, permanently rather than for the moment: insurance, visas, passports. Nothing is charged on this site either. There is no checkout and no card field, and money changes hands later, with the supplier.

The office is at 6317 N Antioch Rd, Suite 108, Gladstone, MO 64119 and the number is +1 (816) 414-3106. Requests sent through the form are answered within one working day. Etre Super Travel is the name used by Etre Super Travel Reservations LLC, a Missouri limited liability company.

Questions that come back every week

Does anything ever appear on this page?

A few times a year. When a supplier we already reserve with lowers a figure, the notice goes up with four things on it: the type and level of supplier, the reduction in dollars per person, the departure dates it covers and the date it stops. It comes down when it ends, or sooner if the supplier withdraws it.

Can I ask you for a discount?

You can ask, and the honest answer is that the price belongs to the supplier, not to us. This office is paid a commission by the supplier after a reservation is confirmed, and nothing is added to your figure for using us, so there is nothing here for us to hand back. What we can do is look at your dates and the number of places you plan to sleep, which is where the money actually is.

If this page is empty, are you out of things to reserve?

No. Thirty two weeks are open today across thirteen countries, starting at $1,890 per person. Empty here means only that no supplier has cut a price this week.

Six fields, and the first one is a blank box because you know what you want better than a dropdown does. Three sentences of plain description are enough to get a real answer back.

Who is going, roughly when, and anything that is not up for discussion.

Sending this holds nothing and commits you to nothing. No card is asked for here and none is stored anywhere on this site. An answer comes in writing within one working day.
