Speak to a travel agent in Kansas City, or reserve it in writing

Two ways in, and they suit different questions. A written request comes back within one working day with real availability behind it. Calling is quicker when something has already gone wrong. Both the address and the telephone number sit at the head of this page.

The address first, because people check that

You can speak to a travel agent in Kansas City by calling +1 (816) 414-3106, and you can write to the same desk at 6317 N Antioch Rd, Suite 108, Gladstone, MO 64119. One small office sits behind both. Nothing is forwarded out of state, and no message is answered by somebody who has not read what came before it.

Requests sent through this site are answered within one working day. That is a commitment about a written reply, not about a chair being occupied, which is why no opening times appear anywhere here. A clock printed on a page is easy to print and hard to keep. The reply is the part the office can hold itself to.

Post is read as it arrives. If you would rather put paper in an envelope than type into a box, the address above is the right one, and the same reply commitment covers it. Whichever way a request comes in, it lands in the same place and is read by the same people.

Writing gets you availability, calling gets you a quick answer

A written request comes back with real availability behind it. Somebody has to go and find out what is actually open in the week you asked about, at the level you asked for, for the number of people you named, and that means telephone calls made from this end rather than yours. The answer arrives in writing, with a starting figure per person and a plain note of what the figure does not cover. Final numbers are confirmed when the reservation is made, never before.

Calling is the better move when something has already gone wrong, or when the question is short. A supplier has shifted a departure time. Your dates slipped by a day and you want to know whether that breaks the rest of the week. Something you were sent does not match what you remember agreeing to. All of that is quicker said out loud than typed.

There is a third case, which is wanting to talk before committing anything to writing, and it is welcome. Ask what a week of a given kind usually runs to. It is also fair to ask what this office is poor at. Every week in the catalog carries a number from one to four saying how much of it you could have arranged without us, and that number gets read out on the telephone as readily as it appears on the page.

Three refusals that hold on the telephone exactly as they hold in writing

No card number is taken over the telephone. There is no checkout on this site either, and no drawer anywhere for card details, so the refusal costs nothing to keep: a payment could not be processed here even if you pressed for it. Money changes hands later, with the supplier. The office is paid a commission by that supplier after a reservation is confirmed, which is why you are never charged by us at all.

A call will not finalize a reservation either. Talk a plan into shape aloud by all means, but it then goes onto paper, and nothing is real until that paper has reached you and you have agreed to what it says. Spoken agreements are how people end up in the wrong week.

Visas, passports and insurance are not advised on. That is not a limit on what happens by telephone; it is a limit on what this office does at all. We sell no insurance of any kind, we give no advice on entry documents, and no passport is ever handled here. When a question of that sort arrives, the honest answer is that you need a different sort of business, and you will get that answer rather than a guess.

Six fields, and what does not happen after you send them

The request form has six fields. One of them is a trap for automated senders, and no reader ever sees it, which makes it the only thing on the page not addressed to a person. Fill the rest in whenever it suits you: messages can be sent at any hour, and the reply still comes back within one working day. Nobody sits at a desk overnight, and this site will not pretend otherwise.

The link is Tell us in your words, and that is a fair description of what the form wants. The box comes first, for the part that does not fit a field: how many of you there are, the figure you are working to, and whatever else is worth saying. Under it sit two choosers, one for the week or shortlist you are asking about and one for roughly when, and then your name and an address we can write back to. That first box is usually the useful one, and it is the reason it stands at the top.

Nothing else follows from writing to us. The office does not cold call, sends no marketing messages, and does not sell, rent or pass anybody's details to another business. Your note is read, answered, and kept so the answer still makes sense if you come back to it in six months. That is the whole of it.

Written requests are answered within one working day.

Six fields, and the first one is a blank box because you know what you want better than a dropdown does. Three sentences of plain description are enough to get a real answer back.

Who is going, roughly when, and anything that is not up for discussion.

Sending this holds nothing and commits you to nothing. No card is asked for here and none is stored anywhere on this site. An answer comes in writing within one working day.

Questions that come back every week

Can I turn up at the address in person?

Yes, though a note or a call first is worth the two minutes. This is a small office, and the person holding your file may be out checking something for somebody else's week. Say when you would like to come and the reply will confirm that somebody is there for it.

Does asking cost anything?

No. There is no fee for a quote, no charge for a conversation, and no card taken at any point. The supplier pays this office a commission after a reservation is confirmed, and that is the whole of how the money works.

What should the first message contain?

Rough dates, how many people are going, and a figure you are working to per person. Everything beyond that is optional. If you already know the week you want, name it. If you have no idea at all, say that instead, and the three questions on the front of the site will get you down to four weeks quickly enough.

I would rather not answer three questions to find a week.

Then do not. All thirty-two weeks are listed flat, the whole catalog in one list, with prices per person and with the number saying how much of each week you could have arranged without us. The questions are a shortcut, not a gate.
